# Caption 21 End User Licence Agreement

Version 1.0, 25 September 2026

This agreement is between you and Alvaro Corredor Lezcano, trading as 21 Pics Studio, Melbourne, Australia (ABN 25 909 832 670), "we" or "us". It covers the Caption 21 plugin for DaVinci Resolve, its installer, styles, covers, bundled fonts and updates ("the Software"). By installing or using the Software you accept it. If you do not accept it, do not install it and ask for a refund within the refund window.

## 1. What you get

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual licence to install and use the Software on up to **two (2) computers that you own or control** at the same time. You can move the licence to a new computer by deactivating it on the old one from inside the plugin.

The licence is tied to the email address you bought with and to the licence key you received. It is for one person. A company or team needs one licence per person who uses it.

## 2. What you can do

- Use the Software for personal and **commercial** work without limit. Videos you make with it are yours, including work for clients. No credit to us is required.
- Keep using the version you have for as long as you like. A licence never expires.
- Receive every 1.x update free of charge. A future major version (2.0 or later) may be sold separately, with a discount for existing customers.

## 3. What you cannot do

- Share, resell, rent, lend or publish your licence key, or use it on more computers than allowed.
- Copy, extract or redistribute the Software's styles, covers, Fusion compositions, title packs or engine outside of videos you make with it, or use them to build a competing product.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or modify the Software, or remove its licence check, except where the law lets you regardless of this agreement.
- Use the Software to break the law or the rights of others.

The bundled open source fonts are not ours. They are licensed under the SIL Open Font License or the Apache License 2.0 (see the Third Party Licences file) and you may use them under those terms.

## 4. Requirements and activation

The Software runs on Windows 10/11 with DaVinci Resolve 20 or newer (Free or Studio). Activation needs an internet connection once. After that the Software checks in with our licence server from time to time and keeps working for at least 14 days without a connection.

We may disable a licence key that was refunded, charged back, shared publicly or obtained by fraud.

## 5. Updates and support

Updates are provided through the download link in your purchase email or the store account you bought with. We are not obliged to provide updates, new features or support for new versions of DaVinci Resolve or Windows, though we intend to. Support is by email at 21picssss@gmail.com.

## 6. Your data

Activation sends your licence key and your computer's name to our licence provider (Lemon Squeezy, a Stripe company) so we can count activations and help you when you write to us. Your video and audio never leave your computer: transcription runs locally.

## 7. Warranty and liability

The Software is provided "as is". We do not promise it is free of bugs or that it fits your particular workflow. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost data, lost time or any indirect loss arising from the Software, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Nothing in this agreement removes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any consumer law that applies to you and cannot be excluded.

## 8. Ending the licence

This licence ends if you break it. When it ends you must stop using and delete the Software. Sections 3, 7 and 9 survive.

## 9. General

This agreement is governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. If any part is found invalid the rest still applies. This is the whole agreement about the Software and replaces anything said before it. We may update these terms for future versions; the version you accepted applies to the version you installed.
